Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

InventOS is operated by Jason Gregory Dickerson, a sole proprietor ("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the InventOS service.

2. Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, hashed password or OAuth identifier.
• Invention content — descriptions, files, and attachments you submit to the service.
• Support communications — messages and attachments you send us.
• Usage and device data — log entries, IP address, browser/device identifiers, and basic telemetry needed to operate and secure the service.
• Billing data — collected directly by Paddle (our Merchant of Record); we receive a customer ID, plan, and subscription status, not full card numbers.

3. How we use it

• To create and operate your account and provide the service (contract performance).
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraud (legitimate interest, legal obligation).
• To respond to support requests (legitimate interest / contract).
• To improve reliability and security of InventOS (legitimate interest).
• To send service announcements; marketing only with your consent where required.

4. Who we share it with

• Paddle — our Merchant of Record for payments, subscription billing, tax compliance, and invoicing. See Paddle's privacy notice.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — for application hosting, database, authentication, file storage, and analytics needed to run the service.
• Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where reasonably necessary.
• Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep account and invention data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion at any time; some records (e.g. invoices) are retained where law requires.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, email support@inventos.com; we aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, so we ask you to keep your account credentials confidential.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage; where required by law we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies.

10. Children

InventOS is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
