Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are

InventOS ("InventOS", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Jason Gregory Dickerson, a sole proprietor ("the Seller"). By creating an account or using the InventOS service, you ("you", "the user") enter into an agreement with the Seller.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or continuing to use InventOS, you confirm that you accept these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the service. You confirm that you are of legal age to enter into a binding contract or, if acting on behalf of an organization, that you have authority to bind it.

3. The service

InventOS provides software tools that help inventors analyze, document, protect, validate, and commercialize inventions. InventOS is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Use of InventOS does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not guarantee patent approval, licensing success, or profitability.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

  • use InventOS for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes;
  • send spam or harass other users;
  • upload content that infringes intellectual property or other rights;
  • interfere with security, including by introducing malware, probing, scanning, or scraping; or
  • attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service.

6. Intellectual property

The Seller retains all rights, title, and interest in InventOS, including its software, documentation, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in line with your selected plan. You retain ownership of the invention content you submit; you grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

7. Service level

We aim to keep InventOS available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) are disclaimed.

8. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we may delete your account data after a reasonable export window.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Seller's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, where that limitation would be unlawful.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the Seller against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Seller resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
